Everyone Relax, Motorola’s Xyboard Tablets Were Already Spill Proof

Droid Xyboard spill proof

Fear not, Xyboard owners; Motorola is not offering new versions of its 8.2 and 10.1 Xyboards. The confusion around the blogosphere arose because of an apparent marketing e-mail sent out by Motorola touting the tablet line’s resistance to accidental spills. Turns out, the Xyboards currently on the market have been nano-coated for maximum protection against water all along. Case closed.

Again, the Xyboard tablets have always been spill-resistant, similar to the splash-guard coating technology equipped by the Droid Razr. There are no new Xyboards on the way. Sounds like a water test against the Pantech Element is in order.
