AT&T to Allow Grandfathered Unlimited 4G LTE Data Plans on New iPad (UPDATED)

AT&T will reportedly allow its customers who already have unlimited data plans to transfer those plans over to the new 4G LTE-enabled iPad. AT&T recently explained its unlimited plans, and the throttling that does indeed occur among the top data hogs. Customers will be able to surf the net at AT&T’s killer 4G LTE speeds. The unlimited option is definitely good news for anyone looking for the new iPad on AT&T. It would just be that much sweeter AT&T could confirm that it will support the tablet’s mobile hotspot feature.

UPDATE: AT&T reached out to us to clarify. As it turns out, those with original unlimited iPad plans will continue to have unthrottled data. Our original report said the data would be throttled after 5GB.
