iPad 3 - No Home Button

Apple’s set to announce the iPad 3 on Wednesday and while it’s still unknown when the new tablet will hit store shelves, the device is reportedly putting a strain on the air freight industry. In fact, one shipper told MacRumors said that prices are up nearly 20% and that it has been difficult to find room to ship products on planes. AppleInsider also said that DHL is currently strained on its international shipment routes due to similar demand by Apple for space aboard its aircraft. The squeeze seems to suggest that Apple will stock its stores so that customers can pick up the iPad 3 shortly, perhaps even immediately, after it is announced. If the demand is as strong as it sounds like it will be, we can expect to be waiting in some pretty long lines for this device. We’ll be all over the iPad 3 news on Wednesday so be sure to keep your browsers pointed to TechnoBuffalo for all of the iPad 3 news as it breaks.
