Things change fast, and according to a new report from CNET Apple will reportedly call the next-generation iPad the “iPad HD” instead of the commonly used “iPad 3” moniker. We’re not surprised — the device will reportedly pack an HD-resolution Retina Display. It’s a bit out of line for Apple to add the “iPad HD” name to its device, considering that the iPhone family has moved from the iPhone to the iPhone 3G, to the iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 4 and then the iPhone 4S. However, that jump from iPhone to iPhone 3G detailed the added features and wasn’t called the “iPhone 2,” for example. iPad rumors are popping up all over the place, however, and we’re expecting even more tomorrow. Apple’s event is scheduled for Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Eastern and we have a whole team here at TechnoBuffalo ready to bring you the news as it breaks. We have less than 48 hours to hear what the final name is, so stay tuned!
