Rumors continue to pile up as to when we’ll see the Samsung Galaxy S III launch, but it appears a source that should definitely be in the know is now pegging it for April.
Speaking with Samsung’s marketing and advertising agency Cheil Worldwide, ZDNet Korea has learned that the agency is preparing for an April debut of the Galaxy S III. Apparently the big push is going to be in the U.K., one of the launch territories for the follow-up to the ultra-popular Galaxy S II line. This is partially planned due to the impending Summer 2012 Olympics to be held in and around London, giving them the perfect opportunity to raise awareness for the phone with people from all over the world.
When we learned that the phone would not debut at Mobile World Congress, the only hint we were given to a launch date was there would be a dedicated press event in the first half of the year. Well, April falls in that time frame, and it also happens to line up with another rumor we heard back in January. Perhaps April truly will be when this highly anticipated phone will finally see its big debut.
