Yesterday, the gaming community saw a good bit spill from a leak centered around Ubisoft’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed III. We learned, thanks to slips from Best Buy and Game Informer, that the game is set to take place in America during the Revolutionary War period.
While Ubisoft has promised more information regarding Assassin’s Creed III for next Monday, we now have four screenshots of the game to further build our well of hype. These come courtesy of All Games Beta; the site gives no indication how and where they snagged the images, but they appear to be the real deal.
We see shots of our hero in a city, stalking a deer (with a bow and arrow, man!), spying on a military troop and about to strike with an Assassin symbol style tomahawk. Yes, they are all awesome and all excitement inducing. Find the first above and a gallery at the base of this post.
Aside from the setting and era, Ubisoft has also illuminated the currently planned release date for Assassin’s Creed III. The game is set to release on October 30th, 2012 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms. As more comes, including the upcoming slew of information from Ubisoft next Monday, we’ll have it.
