Microsoft Windows 8 one million downloads TweetIt’s only been 24 hours, but already Microsoft’s Windows 8 consumer preview has hit the one million download mark, the company announced on Thursday. If you haven’t been keeping up, Windows 8 is promising to introduce an OS that’s a huge departure from past iterations. From what we’ve seen, we can’t wait to see the final build, particularly on tablets. While everything is still in beta, Windows 8 has been attracting a lot of attention for its Metro UI and approach to app management, amongst a lot of other really great features. We haven’t been this excited for an OS in a long, long time.
