Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Spotted at MWC

Galaxy Note 10.1 Banner at MWC

The rumors had circulated for a while now, but it looks like the Galaxy Note 10.1-inch tablet is about to become a reality.

While walking around Plaça de Catalunya in Barcelona this morning, AndroidCentral spotted the banner you see above.  Oddly they noted that the banner was absent on Saturday, so Samsung did try it’s best to keep this under wraps until the last second.

We can’t tell from the image if the Galaxy Note 10.1 is running Honeycomb or Ice Cream Sandwich, but our guess is on Android 4.0.  You can see some tell-tale signs of TouchWiz, Samsung’s usual skin for its devices, but that isn’t exactly a huge surprise.  The S Pen that is present on the phone version of this device is also present, so it appears that we are definitely seeing the building of a new family of devices here, and you have to wonder where else we may see this going.

Our own Todd Haselton is due to land in Spain at any moment, so stay tuned for a lot more news as Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain kicks off for 2012.
