Upgrade to BlackBerry PlayBook 2.0 OS Early to Get Free Gameloft Games

Modern Combat on BlackBerry PlayBook

If you didn’t rush to update your BlackBerry PlayBook the second the version 2.0 software became available, then you must be mad. The latest release features some much-needed features that have been missing from the PlayBook since the day it launched, and I can’t imagine why anyone would want to wait for them any longer than they already have.

But in a bid to encourage you to update early, Research in Motion is offering PlayBook owners free Gameloft games. Install the latest software on your tablet by June 20 and you’ll get Asphalt 6 Adrenaline HD and Modern Combat 2 Black Pegasus HD completely free:

To celebrate the launch of BlackBerry® PlayBook™ OS 2.0, ALL BlackBerry PlayBook users can download TWO FREE games – Asphalt 6 Adrenaline HD and Modern Combat 2 Black Pegasus HD – free of charge for a limited time, compliments of BlackBerry.

The PlayBook has been a disappointment to most since it made its debut back in April 2010, and less than a year later, it has already received some huge price cuts as RIM attempts to shift its stock. The Canadian company will be hoping that the 2.0 software will be its savior. Whether or not the update will be enough to save the tablet, however, remains to be seen.

Have you installed the PlayBook 2.0 OS on your tablet yet?
