LG Optimus 4X HD

LG has yet again announced one of its smartphones ahead of Mobile World Congress next week. We thought the South Korea-based company would surprise us with a quad-core device, but apparently that’s not the case since the company just took the wraps off of the Optimus 4X HD. The Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich phone is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and with a 12-core graphics processing unit (GPU). It’s also equipped with a 4.7-inch IPS dispay with a 1280 x 720-pixel HD resolution, an 8-megapixel camera capable of recording HD video, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat, 1GB of RAM and a large 2,150mAh battery. LG did not announce when the Optimus 4X HD will be available to customers. We’ll certainly be bringing you a hands-on as soon as possible once we hit the ground in Barcelona on Sunday. Stay tuned!
