Nokia Teases “Pure View” Camera Tech Ahead of MWC

by Todd Haselton | February 22, 2012February 22, 2012 9:30 am PDT

Nokia on Wednesday released a video that tells viewers to “get ready to capture a pure view,” on February 27th. That just so happens to be the day of Nokia’s Mobile World Congress press conference, but it’s unclear what exactly the company plans to announce. Nokia has already said that it will not add a larger image sensor to the European version of the Lumia 900, which is headed to AT&T in the United States, so perhaps the company has another high-end phone with a sharper camera up its sleeves.

Reports also surfaced on Wednesday that suggested Nokia will announce a more affordable Lumia 610 handset for emerging markets, and we doubt that device will sport whatever “pure view” technology Nokia is referring to. This video came as a surprise for us and we’re now even more excited to see what the Finish phone maker will unveil next Monday morning.

What do you think Nokia will unveil?
