Microsoft’s Office for iPad suite could launch in just a few weeks, according to one report published Tuesday. Sources speaking to The Daily reportedly confirmed that Microsoft’s design team is finished with the project and has already submitted the application for approval to launch in Apple’s iTunes App Store.
Microsoft Office’s user interface is said to look similar to OneNote, which is already available for iPad users, and The Daily also said that users will be able to create and edit Excel, Word and PowerPoint files directly on the iPad or online.
Unfortunately, Microsoft is reportedly not working on an Android version of Office. It’s unclear how much Office for iPad will cost, although we suspect it will be competitive with other Office-style applications currently available.
