If you thought the upcoming Xperia S was a little too big for your liking, the device may be getting a smaller sibling set to be unveiled at Mobile World Congress. A series of leaked comparison pictures suggest that the Xperia U, or Kumquat, will sit at the lower-end of the Xperia spectrum.
The device will reportedly have the following specs:
- 3.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480) Reality Display
- 1GHz dual-core CPU
- Exmor R sensor with 720p video capture
- 1,290mAh battery
- Android 2.3.7, possibly soon upgradable to Android 4.0
If you’re a fan of the Xperia S design, but prefer a smaller form factor, the Xperia U looks like it’ll fit the bill rather nicely. Expect this one to show itself in only a week’s time. Of course, TechnoBuffalo will be in attendance to hit all the pressing news from the Mobile World Congress floor.
