Panasonic has officially taken the wraps off the Eluga, a waterproof, dustproof handset set to make its way to Europe on March. Beyond its ability to brave the elements, the 4.3-inch phone has a 960×540 OLED display, NFC and is said to be “very light.”
The phone was originally unveiled in December of last year, and is expected to to work as a remote control for Panasonic HDTVs as well. The handset will mark Panasonic’s first European smartphone in 5 years. The company has previously indicated it would be headed to Europe this spring, with plans to later expand to North America and a target of 15 million units sold by March of 2016.
Full specifications for the Eluga are not yet available, however, are expected to be announced soon. We’ll of course keep you posted with any updates as we get them.
