iPad 3 Logic Board Pictured Sporting An A5X Processor

It’s a big day for iPad 3 rumors! Earlier today we saw pictures of what is rumored to be the new iPad 3 sporting an 8-megapixel camera, and now some pictures have surfaced of what is said to be the tablet’s new logic board with an A5X processor.

The iPad 3 has been rumored to be coming with an upgraded quad-core A6 processor. The “A6” designation was presumed, simply because Apple first debuted the A4, and then A5 chips – A6 seems like the logical procession.

A photo posted at the Chinese site WeiPhone shows an A5X chip inside a tablet, with a date code of “1146” which indicates it was manufactured the 46th week of 2011 (November 14-20). That would be around the time Apple would have been testing the tablet, especially if it plans on having the iPad 3 make its dramatic debut as rumored on March 7th.

In addition to the faster processor and higher-resolution camera, the iPad 3 is also expected to come with an upgraded Retina display.

What do you hope to see in the next-generation of the iPad?
