Teleprompter functionality may be on its way to iMovie and Final Cut Pro. According to Patently Apple, Apple is working on a new teleprompter tool that would integrate into Final Cut pro and iMovie. Text can be pasted into the app, and the scrolled through at a natural reading rate or via hand scrolling. Text can also be sent from within the app to other iDevices such as your iPad or iPhone.

The information comes from a recently published patent Apple filed with the US Patent & Trademark Office.

User-generated news is becoming more and more prevalent. A teleprompter tool would allow reporters on the scene of an event, or even YouTubers, to better film scripted videos wherever they may happen to be.

What do you think about the possibility of teleprompter functionality built into iMovie or made available on your iPhone or iPad. Would you use it?
