A few tech blogs have gotten everyone in a tizzy over a rumor that suggested Amazon pre-orders of the highly anticipated DSLR would not be shipping until 2013. We at TechnoBuffalo are here to tell you that’s a large serving of Bogus with an ample helping of BS. I talked to my rep at Nikon today, who ensured me the following:

“Hi Mike –  there has been a production update, and cameras will now be delivered approximately Mid-March. (this year)”

So, if you’ve placed an order for the Nikon D800 and did not sleep a wink last night because of bogus 2013 reports from other sites, have no fear. It turns out Amazon’s system was tweaking and telling buyers that the camera would not ship until January of 2013. I’ll have the D800 in for review within the coming weeks, so be sure to tune in! In the meantime, let’s drool over its specs once again.
