T-Mobile has begun issuing invites for a press event in Washington, DC, on March 15. The carrier is promising to unveil the “latest and greatest” BlackBerry technology, but I wouldn’t get your heart set on a new BlackBerry OS 10 device.
As The Verge points out, the invitation sports a rather large BlackBerry OS 7 logo, which makes it pretty clear the announcement will be regarding RIM’s existing operating system and not its new one. Could we see a T-Mobile version of the BlackBerry Curve 9380?
This seems like the most obvious scenario, and the move would bring a touch-focused BlackBerry to every major carrier in the U.S. The device recently passed through the FCC for approval on T-Mobile’s network, suggesting a launch could be imminent.
Would you like to see the Curve 9380 on T-Mobile?
