Check Out the Newest Mass Effect 3 Trailer Featuring FemShep

The voice you hear behind the female version of Commander Shepard, if you’ve never played as her before, is that of Jennifer Hale. Her talent works perfectly for this role, as demonstrated in the epic trailer above, but you may also recognize her from games like Metroid Prime¬†where she played Samus.

Mass Effect 3, the conclusion to Commander Shepard’s trilogy, is almost upon us. BioWare and EA have been releasing a metric ton of trailers, screens and other assets as a way to hype the already rowdy release, so we’ve found ourselves sifting through days and days worth of material.

So far, this is my favorite trailer. It actually has me considering the notion of scratching my male Commander Shepard in favor or rolling a female Shepard specifically to hear Hale throughout the campaign.

I know, I know, the plot will go to crap if I do it, but, man, her voice works for the role so very well.

Mass Effect 3 will drop for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms on March 6th, 2012 in North America.
