An image of an unknown Samsung handset running Ice Cream Sandwich has leaked ahead of Mobile World Congress happening later this month in Barcelona, Spain.
Earlier today, well-known mobile industry blogger Eldar Murtazin tweeted out the image you see above. The text of his tweet simply read:
Barcelona. Samsung. Press photo leaked
And that is the entirety of what we know about this device. We can gather its running Android 4.0, also known as Ice Cream Sandwich, from the layout of the screen and the buttons at the bottom. We can also be pretty certain about it being debuted at Mobile World Congress from the weather forecast and the calendar reminder mentioning “Mobile World Live Keynote,” but beyond that, your guess is as good as ours.
We can be certain that this is not the Galaxy S III as Samsung has confirmed that device will get a dedicated press event sometime after MWC. We can also place a bet that this isn’t the rumored Galaxy S II Plus as the information for that handset has shown it’s going to be running Gingerbread. So, what the heck is it? We don’t have a clue.
TechnoBuffalo will be in Barcelona for Mobile World Congress so be sure to check back in as we learn just what the heck this handset is called and some more specs about it!
