Gotham City Impostors Gets Official Launch Date (Next Week!)

Gotham City Impostors, the Batman universe-based multiplayer shooter, has officially been given a release date for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms.

Here are the exact release dates, both by platform and gaming locale, as put out on the official Gotham City Impostors site:

Starting on February 7th, those of you that choose to game on the PlayStation Network (in the Americas) and the PC will be able to dive head first into the unhinged action. On February 8th, those of you that play on the PlayStation Network (everywhere else) and Xbox LIVE will be able to create chaos in Gotham!

The private and public betas of this game have been running off and on since well before Christmas. Gotham City Impostors was originally meant to drop in January, but response from the trial periods gave the developers cause to delay their work by a month for improvements.

Hopefully those have been seen to and applied as this time next week will see the title release to the unforgiving masses.

I spent some time with this game before the beta phase at conventions and then again during the beta itself; I really, really liked it. It’s not your everyday typical shooter, so go in expecting something whacky and unique and you might actually have a great time. It almost plays like fun for fun’s sake.

Will you be snagging Gotham City Impostors?
