Madden NFL 12 Sim Picks Giants in Super Bowl

by Joey Davidson | January 30, 2012January 30, 2012 10:00 pm PDT

Sorry, Pats fans. It looks like you don’t even have to bother getting out of bed to watch the big game next Sunday. The Super Bowl winners for 2012 have already been chosen; it’s the New York Giants.

EA Sports have been simming the Super Bowls for years with the Madden franchise. Last year, the sim incorrectly picked the Steelers to win over the Packers. The year before that, however, Madden 10 looked into its virtual crystal ball and picked Drew Brees and the Saints over the Colts.

This year? It’s the G-Men.

Where do you stand on this now yearly tradition of simming the Super Bowl with the contemporary entry in the Madden¬†franchise. We know it’s silly, but we dig seeing AI duke it out on the virtual field. If it actually nails the predicted final score of the game, I’ll be impressed. Until then, we’ll just revel in the silliness of it all.
