Samsung Galaxy Note whiteIf you’ve been thinking about snapping up Samsung’s super-sized Galaxy Note here in the U.K., you now have two colors to choose from. Starting today, January 23, the 5.3-inch device will be available in white as well as blue. But there is a small catch.

The white device is initially exclusive to John Lewis on Oxford Street, London, where the first 100 customers will be lucky enough to receive £250 (approx. $388) worth of music, movies, and eBooks absolutely free. But don’t worry if you’re nowhere near the capital, because the device will also be available from other retailers throughout the U.K. from February.

Like the existing blue device (which actually looks black to us), the white handset will feature a stunning 5.3-inch Super AMOLED display, and the same internal specifications; including a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera. All of which is packed into a svelte 9.7mm shell.

Simon Stanford, managing director for Samsung U.K. & Ireland Telecommunications & Networks Division, believes the Galaxy Note offers a new category of device that you just can’t get anywhere else:

“At Samsung we always want to offer our customers choice and are delighted to bring the Galaxy Note in white to the UK. The Galaxy Note is an innovative addition to the Samsung Galaxy family and a new category of device that consumers can’t get anywhere else.”

Samsung hasn’t announced a price for the white handset, but its dark-blue-almost-black counterpart with 16GB of internal storage currently sells for around £430 (approx. $668) without a commitment.

Do you like the look of the Galaxy Note in white?
