Verizon Introduces 4G LTE to Five New Cities

Verizon Wireless 4G LTEVerizon Wireless is ringing in the new year by flipping the LTE switch in five new markets across the nation. Verizon’s LTE rollout happened at a furious pace in 2011, with over 200 million subscribers reached in 190 different markets; that tally is now up to 195, with many more sure to come.

If you’re in Glens Falls and Utica, N.Y.; Lawton, OK; and Brownsville and McAllen, Texas, you now have LTE access.

“As we enter 2012, Verizon’s 4G LTE network remains the largest by far in the United States, and we continue to grow the network and bring Verizon’s unparalleled 4G LTE services to more and more people,” said David Small, chief technical officer of Verizon Wireless.

Verizon customers looking to take advantage of 4G LTE have a wide array of devices to choose from, including the Galaxy Nexus, Droid Razr, HTC Rezound and LG Spectrum.
