Word on the street is that RIM is planning on releasing not one, but two new PlayBooks in 2012. According to N4BB RIM will be releasing a 7-inch and 10-inch PlayBook model this year. The 7-inch is expected to hit store shelves in April and come with 3G connectivity, while the 10-inch will launch in December and support 4G LTE networks.
The original BlackBerry PlayBook was announced at last year’s CES, and was met with less-than-stellar sales. Now that there are even more tablets on the market, it will be interesting to see what RIM does to the PlayBook to make it stand out against the competition.
