HzO Reportedly Talking with Apple and Samsung About Waterproofing Phones

Last week at CES Zagg was showing off a water blocking technology called HzO that can be used to make phones and other electronics water resistant. The technology essentially consists of adding a special coating to the interior of a device, that makes it harder for the device to become damaged when it gets wet.

According to Pocket-lint, the company has showed the tech off to both Apple and Samsung, and both companies are interested in including it in their new phones.

“We showed the Samsung Chairman the technology with a Samsung Galaxy S that we had coated with HzO and he couldn’t believe his eyes,” a representative of the company told us. “Samsung is really excited by the tech.”

Zagg expects HzO “to be in next season’s phones,” however, no companies have officially signed on to include the product.
