7-Inch Tegra 3 Asus Tablet Teased with $249 Price Tag

Eee Pad MeMO ME370TIs Asus’s current Transformer Prime a bit too big for your taste? Not to worry, because a new 7-inch tablet sporting Tegra 3 quad-core internals was just announced at nVidia’s CES press conference – and it’s only $249. The Kindle Fire and Nook Tablet just got some serious competition.

Neither nVidia nor Asus revealed anything in the way of specs, but the mere mention of quad-core and $249 is enough to get our adrenaline pumping. Oh, and it comes packing Ice Cream Sandwich right out of the box.

What we do know about the Eee Pad MeMO ME370T: it packs all day battery life, industry leading camera, and DirectTouchd technology, allowing for a much more responsive touchscreen experience, the two companies revealed. No release date has been pegged as of yet, so stay tuned for further information on this Tegra 3 device.
