The Rise of Minecraft in an Infographic

Minecraft seems to have come out of nowhere to become an Internet phenomenon overnight, but the journey it took was actually a little longer than that … but not by a whole lot.

Full development of Minecraft started in June of 2010, and the game came out of “beta” this past November. ¬†Of course, this is one of those instances where it’s doubtful anyone cared about the beta moniker as the game continued to sign up new players at an astronomical rate with over 4 million paid users, and $1 million a week coming in in revenues.
