Bastion 50% off on XBLA, Start of Winter Sale

by Joey Davidson | December 20, 2011December 20, 2011 12:30 pm PDT

Bastion, one of the best indie downloadable titles released throughout 2011, will be the first game in this year’s 12 Days of Xbox holiday sale. Starting today, and ending today, gamers will be able to hop online and land Supergiant Games’ Bastion for 600 Points ($7.50). The normal price of the game is 1200 Points ($15).

If you’ve not had the chance to give Bastion a go, know that it comes highly recommended from us. The game has already won awards across the industry, and it will likely continue to pick up “Best of” nods from some of the biggest publications as they release their picks. Bastion delivers a great story, unique art style, strong gameplay and one-of-a-kind narration. You’d be crazy to not at least try the demo today before the deal expires.

In addition to that deal, Xbox 360 gamers will also be able to pour over a laundry list of other offerings during the sale. These discounts will expire when the 12 days are over on January 2nd, 2012. The full rundown can be read on Major Nelson’s site, but some of the highlights include half price Peggle, Peggle Nights, Plants vs. Zombies, L.A. Noire DLC and Portal: Still Alive.

Each new day in the sale will bring a brand new deal. We’ll be sure to keep you updated with all of the big games; but, if you’d like to catch the news straight from the source, you can follow Xbox LIVE’s Major Nelson on Twitter.
