Time Warner customers who subscribe to HBO and Cinemax will soon have access to HBO GO and MAX GO the two channel’s streaming services.
“HBO GO has been a tremendous success with our subscribers,” said Eric Kessler, co-President of HBO. “We’re happy that Time Warner Cable customers will be able to enjoy this great product which provides streaming of HBO’s programming library.”
”We’re very pleased to have completed an agreement that’s good for our customers,” said Susan Weinstein, Group Vice President, Content Acquisition for Time Warner Cable. “HBO and Cinemax offer unique and compelling programming for our customers, and soon they’ll be able to access it all the time and anywhere.”
Customers are expecetd to get access to both streaming services in the next month, and will be able to catch new shows as they appear, and create a “watchlist” of shows they’d like to check out using the service. Customers will also have access to “bonus content including interviews, recaps, and behind-the-scenes extras; and customizable views showing titles in slideshow, grid or list format.”
HBO GO launched in February and is already available for AT&T U-verse, Charter Communications, Comcast, Cox Communications, DirecTV, Dish Network, Google TV, Suddenlink Communications and Verizon FIOS customers. The service allows you to stream HBO content on your television, and access it via an iPhone or Android app.
