14 Minutes of Japanese Uncharted Footage for PS Vita (Video)

The clip above offers up close to 14 minutes of gameplay footage for Uncharted: Golden Abyss. The game, being developed by SCE Bend Studio and not Naughty Dog (as is often the case with portable entries below big console franchises), stands tall as one of the most promising titles releasing for the PS Vita‘s launch.

Watch the video and you’ll catch a low-resolution glimpse of the game’s mechanics, style, play and graphics; all of which are quite impressive, especially given that it’s all being done on a portable system. You’ll even see the new touchscreen mechanics and how they play into Drake’s next, tiny adventure.

Man, hearing Nathan Drake’s voice work done in Japanese is bizarre, isn’t it?

Uncharted: Golden Abyss will release with the PlayStation Vita in North America and Europe on February 22nd, 2012. Japanese gamers, however, can expect to pick the title up on their launch date of December 17th.

Siliconera has more lengthy PS Vita gameplay videos done up in the same exact fashion. The other games they feature include New Little King’s Story, Gravity Rush, Shinobido 2 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
