Galaxy Nexus to Officially Launch on December 15?

In what has turned into the tech world’s version of a soap opera, we’re hearing yet another potential release date for the long awaited Galaxy Nexus on Verizon.

The saga of the Verizon version of the Galaxy Nexus is turning into somewhat of a farse at this point.  While the international version of the phone has been available for some time now, those of us in the United States just keep getting teased time and time again when it comes to when this phone will actually go on sale.  We know for sure the Galaxy Nexus has arrived at some Best Buy locations thanks to a trusted tipster sending us pictures last week, and at that time they thought the release date was December 11.  Well, that day came and went, and while some people did actually pick up the phone on that day, it seems that it was never named as an official release date and sales were quickly cut off.

So, where is it?  Well, our trusted Best Buy tipster is back again, and they’re telling us that the latest scuttlebutt seems to targets this Thursday, December 15.  In addition, they are also reporting to us that the exclusivity with Verizon is only for 60 days and then the phone will also appear on AT&T.  Considering the number of rumors that fly around about this handset at this point, anything seems possible.

Obviously there was some confusion over the December 11 date, and with the phones definitely sitting at Best Buy stores, they’re going to have to give up the fight and just start selling them at some point.  This Thursday seems like as good a time as any.  As for the possibility of the handset also showing up on AT&T?  Only time will tell on that one.

Are you tired of waiting for the Galaxy Nexus yet?
