AT&T and Verizon Testing 4G Nokia Lumia 800

Nokia Lumia 800AT&T and Verizon are reportedly testing a 4G version of the Lumia 800. According to CNET, both carriers have a 4G version of the handsets in their labs.

While the carriers testing the phone is promising, it doesn’t guarantee that either will decide to ultimately carry the handset. Windows Phone currently does not support 4G data, so it will require either an update to the OS or a special software update to the phone itself in order for the handset to run on either carriers 4G network.

The Lumia 800 was announced in late October at Nokia World and is already available in Europe. Despite its European-only release,  we manged to get one of the handsets in at TB HQ and put it through its paces. You can check out Jon’s review of the handset here.

What do you think about the possibility of the Lumia 800 coming to AT&T or Verizon?
