Ok, so it’s a little far-fetched (especially that being able to use expandable memory in an Apple product thing), but you’ve got to admit – the iCam is pretty awesome.

ARD studios has created this concept iCam, a mounting system of sorts that would turn your iPhone (specifically an iPhone 5) into a digital SLR of sorts, with some pretty decent imagined specs:

  • Aluminum Unibody;
  • Interchangeable Apple-Lens Lenses, with iMount mounting system;
  • Front touch screen for self-portraits and for micro-app;
  • LED Flash;
  • Front pico-projector;
  • SD UHS-i slot;
  • Siri Compatible;
  • Motion Sensor;
  • ISO range from 100 to 3200 (extendable up to 6400 equivalent)
  • Full HD at 60fps;
  • 10.1-megapixel sensor;
  • Bluetooth

Being able to voice-control the camera with Siri could be pretty exciting, as could prjecting your pictures directly from the camera onto your wall.

You can check out a huge gallery of iCam pics here. What do you think? If the iCam was real, what sort of features would you like to see it have?
