Weekly Gaming Poll: Are glitches and exploits cheats?

Welcome to this brand-spankin’-new TechnoBuffalo feature we’re going to try and run once every week. We’ve got ourselves an outstanding, talkative community and we’re looking to harness that and spur it along with a weekly debate topic.

So, every Friday, I’ll toss up a debatable challenge, you folks will vote and discuss. I’ll also be posting the results of the previous week’s poll with a little editorialization.

Our Weekly Gaming Poll for this week was born out of an article that we ran earlier today that focused on Snaking in Mario Kart 7. But, before we get there, let’s talk about the previous poll.

I actually don’t have a graph for last week’s poll because of the nature of the question at hand. The question was: Which game(s) will you be playing over the holiday (or normal) weekend?

The top three games being played over the weekend last week were, in order from most to least, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3. The race was close between Skyrim and Modern Warfare 3 as only two votes separated each game. Add my vote to the pile, and Skyrim gets three votes ahead of Modern Warfare 3.

Other strong presences in the poll included Uncharted 3, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Minecraft, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and Super Mario 3D Land. All of this tells me one thing: there were a lot of great games released during the calendar year of 2011. It’s almost scary, isn’t it?

On to this week’s poll!

It’s a topic that I hope polarizes the herd and creates a wealth of discussion in the comment section below. I know several gamers with contrasting opinions on this issue, and I personally know where I stand; but, it’s time to task the masses on this site with the question. Here goes…
