Ever tried to explain Google+ to a non-techie person? It can be tough, especially when so many folks are mired in Facebook and may not understand the differences. Still, the company took a shot at it by releasing its first Google+ commercial over the Thanksgiving holiday.
Given how a lot of tech enthusiasts no longer watch traditional TV, I think it was appropriate for Google to court average, everyday “lay people” by broadcasting a television ad. (Sort of an Applesque approach, no?) The spot is a minute-and-a-half long, and it explains the idea of selective sharing to only certain contacts and how that’s done via social circles.
