In a post on its Facebook page, LG confirmed it would be bringing ICS to the Optimus 2X, Optimus Black, Optimus 3D, and Optimus LTE. It is also “continuing to evaluate the ICS OS to determine whether it is compatible with the functionality, features and performance of other LG smartphones to make the ICS OS available on as many LG smartphones as possible.
LG did not announce a date where customers could expect the update. In the same blog post the company indicated “In December this year, the forthcoming upgrade schedule and additional specific models for the ICS OS upgrade will be posted on our LG Mobile Global Facebook page (www.facebook.com/LGMobile) and on our local LG websites.”
Sony, who announced ICS support for its Xperia line earlier this month, followed up this morning indicating the update would be rolling out “by March” of next year for its customers.
Anyone excited about ICS coming to the Optimus line? What handsets do you hope score an ICS update?
