Visa and Shopkick have teamed up to offer you rewards when you use your Visa card to make purchases at select retailers.
With the program customer earn “kicks” each time they make a purchase at one of six participating retailers: ToysRus, Old Navy, Wet Seal, American Eagle, Simon Malls, and Arden B. Customers who have the Shopkick Android or iPhone app installed on their phone can already earn reward point for entering those retailers (and more) and doing things like trying on clothes and scanning barcodes. Points can later be redeemed for Facebook credits, or for discounts at partner stores.
In order to earn the point for your purchase you will have to sign your credit card up with Shopkick, and then use that card to make your purchase.
Shopkick has already seen a decent amount of success, with users breaking the app out an average of 14 days a month, and looking at an average of 16 stores when they do. The app is (presumably) already getting people to go into stores, so the next step is convince them to also start making purchases while they’re there.
Do any of you already use Shopkick on a regular basis?
