If you didn’t buy AppleCare+ with your iPhone 4S, now you have a little more time to make that happen.
According to a leaked internal document obtained by SprintFeed, through the close of business on December 15, customers can purchase AppleCare+ within 30 days of their original iPhone purchase through the Apple Contact Center. Customers can also now permanently purchase AppleCare+ within 30 days of their original iPhone purchase in Apple Stores. Proof of purchase is required, and you’ll have to bring your phone along with you so a Genius can determine it isn’t already damaged.
Originally, AppleCare+ had to be purchased at the same time as your phone, adding $99 to the price. The newest version of AppleCare cover the iPhone 4S for 2 years with tech and replacement support, including two instances of “accidental damage due to handling.”
