Spotify Launches in Austria Today, More European Support Coming Soon

Austria has become the tenth European nation to be graced by the terrific music streaming service that is Spotify. Austrian users can sign up now to enjoy over 15 million songs on-demand, on both their computers and mobile devices.

Spotify said “hallo” to its newest market in a new post on its blog:

We’ve been busy translating Spotify into German. So now we can say hallo to our new friends from Austria!

Yes, today sees Austria become the tenth member of the Spotify family. Our Austrian friends can choose from three great Spotify services – from absolutely free to paid subscriptions.

Spotify is available right now. Simply visit our homepage to sign up, or click on any of the play links you see in Facebook to get started for free.

The company’s European expansion certainly won’t stop in Austria, however. In a separate blog post, published yesterday, it announced that both Belgium and Switzerland would also be part of its European rollout “as soon as possible.”

Just like its subscription plan in other markets, Spotify is offering Austrian users free, unlimited, and premium accounts. The latter two will incur a fees of €4.99 (approx. $6.76) and €9.99 (approx. $13.53) respectively, but will allow users to enjoy unlimited music without restrictions or adverts. The premium plan also allows mobile access using the official Spotify app for Android, BlackBerry, iOS, and Windows Phone devices.

Have you signed up to Spotify yet?
