Say what you want about my personal preferences in the land of gaming, but Batman: Arkham City currently stands as one of the best games I have played all year. In fact, if I were to be pressed to pick one title for Game of the Year consideration, I would have no problem submitting Arkham City.
And it’s because of that that I feel bad bringing our PC gaming readers news of another delay. Warner Bros. has pushed the release of the PC version of Batman: Arkham City back one more time from November 15th to November 22nd. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game released back on October 28th.
For all the times you wonderful gaming rig owners have yelled about how lame and inferior my consoles are, I offer this: naner naner, boo boo. Arkham City is amazing.
Take solace in this, fellow gamers, Rocksteady has gone on record as saying that the PC version of Batman: Arkham City will be well worth the wait. You’ll be getting richer textures, more on screen objects and a better representation of Rocksteady’s Gotham City than the console lot were afforded. I thought the game looked great on my home console, I imagine it will look gorgeous on your PCs.
Those that have actually had a chance to don the tights and cape as the Dark Knight, what do you think of Rocksteady’s follow-up to Arkham Asylum. Is it as Game-of-the-Year-worthy as I suggested at the top of this post?
