What a year BlackBerry has weathered. Regardless of marketshare loss, outages and customer unrest, the Waterloo-based company keeps trucking along, if only just. T-Mobile announced the BlackBerry Torch 9810 will join Magenta as the latest 4G BlackBerry to hit the market, with pre-orders beginning today for business customers and nationwide availability for all November 9.
Powered by BlackBerry 7 OS, the Torch 9810 will come equipped with today’s essential smartphone features, including: 1.2 GHz processor, 3.2-inch TFT VGA capacitive touch-screen, full QWERTY slide-out keyboard and 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording capabilities.
BlackBerry faithful, of course, will get the experience they’ve come to expect: BBM, personal and corporate e-mail and access to BlackBerry App World for applications and games. The device is expected to cost $249 after mail-in-rebate and a two-year agreement.
