Blackberry Bold 9790 Spotted, Sports Redesigned Menu Buttons

Blackberry Bold 9790The Blackberry Bold 9790 was recently confirmed in a RIM developer blogpost, so we knew it was on the way. It seems the when has been narrowed down, according to BGR, to around the end of November. Unfortunately, a design change seems to have hit the device during its journey to consumers, depending on your preference.

An evaluation unit saw some hands-on time early last month, and it seems RIM saw fit to redo the menu buttons in the same vein as the Blackberry Torch 9850, from flush buttons to physical keys.

Otherwise, the Bold 9790 will feature a 2.45-inch VGA touch display, 8GB of built-in-storage and Blackberry’s much-loved QWERTY keyboard.

In addition, RIM will supposedly launch OS 7.1 at an unspecified date later this year, the last update of its kind before the unifying BBX platform is introduced to smartphones and tablets.
