Uncharted 3 Launch TV Spot is Epic (Video)

Uncharted 3 is Naughty Dog‘s, wait for it, third entry in one of this generation’s most beloved new franchises. This PlayStation 3 exclusive is looking like it’s ready to set the gaming world ablaze, and all the public needs to do is wait a little more than two weeks.

We love this series, and the developers behind it, but we’re finding ourselves a little nervous as the release date draws near. Uncharted 2 was a triumph and a game that will likely stand as one of the best of all time. The story, the gameplay, the graphics and the feel were all unbelievable.

What has us nervous here is whether or not Naughty Dog can live up to the expectations born out of the launch of their second game. Uncharted 2 was a leap above Uncharted 1. Will gamers be surprised and upset if Uncharted 3 doesn’t repeat that scope of upgrade? The studio is, in our opinion, is more than up to the task of creating another homerun classic with Drake’s Deception; however, pressure can definitely do a lot to any team.

We will say that every trailer and media briefing we’ve seen or been a part of regarding Drake’s Deception has left us extremely excited for this one’s release date. The game looks great in motion, and hopefully the story lives up to or surpasses the awesomeness this franchise is capable of.

As a bonus, the one review to release for Uncharted 3 so far pegged it at a 9.9 out of 10, the highest score PlayMania (the Spanish gaming mag) has ever given. For reference, they gave Uncharted 2 a 9.5.

As far as we’re concerned, the only blight on Uncharted 3‘s pedigree to-date is the absurd Subway campaign. While clever and brilliant in terms of marketing, the whole thing has us feeling a little … dirty.

Uncharted 3 is set to launch on November 1st for the PS3. Will you be snagging Nathan Drake’s newest chapter when it drops?
