Rumor has it Nokia may be taking the wraps off its new line of Windows Mobile smartphones later this month at Nokia World. One new device; however, may have sneaked out a little early on Nokia’s developer site.
A My Nokia Blog reader noticed the addition of a suspicious Nokia 710 on the developer’s website yesterday. The specs claim to be for a 2008 Mameo Tablet, but definitely point to being a smartphone (either Symbian or Windows Mobile). Pocketnow did a little super-sleuthing of its own, and discovered that a mobile device identifying itself as the Nokia 710 has connected to Occasional Gamer’s server twice. The Nokia SeaRay has also supposedly connected to Occasional Gamer’s server, as has the previously leaked Nokia 800.
Here’s a rundown of what we’re looking at:
- 119 x 62.4 x 12.44mm device
- 1.4GHz Cortex A8
- 512Mb RAM
- 3.7″ screen
- 800×480 Clear Black TFT display
- 5-megapixel camera with 720p video recording
- 8GB Internal memory
- Micro SIM
- Battery with 400 hours standby, 5hours of 3G browsing, and 7 hours of GSM talk time
The device, whatever it is, has since been removed from Nokia’s site. What do you think? Is this another Windows Mobile handset making an appearance?
