Batman: Arkham City Nightwing DLC Priced and Dated

Starting several months back, Warner Bros. Games and Rocksteady have been constantly marketing the upcoming Batman: Arkham City. This bigger, longer and hopefully even better sequel to the breakout Batman: Arkham Asylum seems to consistently cover headlines on gaming blogs and sites across the net.

Well, here we go, contributing to the unending wave of coverage. If you’re part of the crowd that would rather ignore everything there is to read and see for the game and just wait until it officially releases, we suggest you stop with this post here and now. While this news update doesn’t contain any spoiler-ific information, it’s more blurbage about a title that hasn’t even seen its release yet.

Coming to Arkham City, by way of press release, is Nightwing. He’ll be getting his own skin set and some extra content. Here’s the full line from the email sent to us:

Nightwing comes complete with his own unique gadgets and special moves, and is playable in all challenge maps in the game, as well as two additional challenge maps that are included with the pack: Wayne Manor and Main Hall. The pack also contains a bonus Animated Series Nightwing character skin.

The Nightwing pack will be available starting on November 1st. It will sell for $6.99 on the PlayStation Network or 560 Points over Xbox LIVE. No word was given regarding the PC version and whether or not this content will be available for the Windows platform alongside the console editions or further down the line. PC gamers, as it was previously announced, will have to wait until November to see this game.

The release also indicated that the Robin Bundle Pack, the one that’s been shown as a retail exclusive for places like GameStop and Best Buy, will be available starting November 22nd.

Batman: Arkham City is currently set to release for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on October 18th.
