HTC Rhyme (Verizon) Unboxing and Hands-On

Do females need different gadgets then males? Is Android not female-friendly enough? And does adding a plum paint job, charm accessory, and fabric covered docking station make a smartphone more appealing to women? These questions and more, brought to you by the HTC Rhyme for VZW.

Spec-wise, this ain’t a top of the line Android smartphone, but it’s really not that bad. Except, y’know, no 4G:

  • 3.7-inch S-LCD Display: 800 x 480 (WVGA) Resolution
  • 1 GHz Single-Core Qualcomm MSM8655 Processor
  • Android OS 2.3.4 + HTC Sense 3.5
  • CDMA / EVDO (3G) / Wi-Fi b/g/n Connectivity
  • Comes with docking station, charm accessory, and tangle-free earbuds
  • $199.99 on contract
Adriana’s going to do a full review of this one since it’s a “girl phone” and she’s … well, she’s a woman, not a girl … but you get the idea. Me, I like plum plenty fine. And I have no issue with a WVGA phone “only” packing a single core processor. But fabric-covered docking stations give me the heebie-jeebies. Want more? Watch the vid!
