With the iPhone 4S announcement finally behind us, there are many people out there itching to get their hands on the new device, especially for the newly revealed Siri – likewise, there are those who feel the changes aren’t substantial enough for an upgrade. Whatever the case, you can bet there will be a huge influx of iPhone 4’s showing up on eBay and Craigslist before it’s released next week. Selling through those sites can be a gamble, however, and never a guarantee to make a profit.
Apple is giving its customers the option of recycling their old iPhone 4 for up to $200 in credit, depending on the condition. Keep in mind that it has to be pristine, and the $200 sum is for the white iPhone 4 16GB. Owners with a black iPhone 4 can get up to $180 in mint condition. If you aren’t comfortable using sites like eBay or Craigslist then this is isn’t a bad option, especially when the new iPhone 4S starts at just $199 with a new two year contract.
