Were you worried the Samsung Galaxy Note wouldn’t grace those fine British shores? Worry no more, my friend. Samsung has confirmed that its palm-stretching smartphone-tablet hybrid will hit the U.K. on November 17.
That should give you plenty of time to bag the 5.3-inch device just in time for Christmas. But is it really worth tearing your pockets for?
Well, it certainly looks promising. While its bundled digital stylus has been mocked by critics, the device was one of the starts of this year’s IFA, and first-impressions of the device have been very promising.
As you’d expect from this super-sized device, there are also some super-sized specifications under the hood:
Samsung Galaxy Note Specs
- Android 2.3.5
- TouchWiz UI
- 5.3-inch HD Super AMOLED screen (1280 x 800)
- Dual-core 1.4GHz processor
- 1GB RAM
- 16GB of internal memory, expandable via microSD up to 32GB
- 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with 1080p video recording
- 2-megapixel front-facing camera
- Bluetooth 3.0
- “S Pen” stylus
- 4G (HSPA+ or LTE)
- 2,500 mAh li-on battery
The Galaxy Note may be a big guy, but its surprisingly thin at just 9.65mm. It will be available on all the major carriers in the U.K., according to Samsung, though none have actually been named yet.
I’m looking forward to getting my hands on the Samsung Galaxy Note, though I don’t think I’d want to use it as my daily smartphone. I just don’t have a need for a 5.3-inch screen on a mobile phone, so for the time being, I’ll stick to human-sized handsets.
Will you be getting the Samsung Galaxy Note?
