iPhone 5 invite

With the iPhone event officially being announced for October 4, we can not get down to the real nitty gritty of trying to figure out what exactly will be announced next week.  So lets break it down with the evidence for both one phone and two phones, shall we?

The Evidence for One iPhone on October 4

And lets take a moment to look at the invitation for clues.

1. Seeing as the date, time and map all correspond to the event, notice that is a notification on the phone icon that just says “1.”

2. “Let’s talk iPhone.” is singular and not plural, a strong indication that there are not two devices to be announced next week.

All that being said, there have been an endless stream of rumors as of late that both an iPhone 4S and an iPhone 5 will announced for this year.

1. We’ve already seen iPhone 4S cases show up in some AT&T stores.

2. Former vice-president Al Gore, a member of Apple’s board, has said “new iPhones” are coming, using the plural form.

3. Case-Mate accidentally published a page on its site with new products that were clearly labeled as being for the iPhone 5.

So, Which Is It?

At this point, it’s anyone’s guess if it’s the iPhone 4S, the iPhone 5 or both being announced next week, so that’s why we turn to you, dear readers, to hear what you think.  Take a moment to vote in our poll, and then let us know your full thoughts in the comments below.
